I had the UFE procedure in February 2024 and followed up with an MRI scan in May 2025. Scans show significant improvement (reduction). My periods are shorter, lighter, and I no longer experience clots. The pain during my cycle is minimal, so I don’t even need over-the-counter pain medication anymore. I’m very grateful to Dr. Lipman for this incredible improvement. Before the procedure, he took the time to answer all of my questions. I found him to be patient and personable. Thank you!

I had my procedure back in December and it was a seamless process. My initial consult with Dr. Lipman was clear and thorough. In addition to fibroids, we also discovered adenomyosis on my MRI. Dr. Lipman treated both during the UAE. I felt well taken care of throughout the entire process from the initial consult to the follow up care. Dr. Lipman was always available on the phone if I needed to ask him a question post-procedure.
Fast forward to six months later, there is barely any trace of adenomyosis left, and all fibroids have shrunken. My symptoms have greatly subsided.

Dr Lipman is a great great professional. The post procedure (and someone should warn you about it), is extremely painful specially the first 3 days. Then you start to see the light. Dr Lipman was with me at the phone during the most difficult part and never underestimated my pain and what I was going through. He gave me advice beyond using medicine. I am so grateful to him. It’s now my fifth day of recovery and I can already tell the difference. My bloated and soring stomach looks normal now and I think I made the best decision. I truly believe that Dr Lipman at the Atlanta fibroid center is a God ordained doctor to save women from unnecessary hysterectomy when it comes to fibroids. Not only did he do my UFE, the result has been amazing. I had UFE done last year, before I did it the heavy bleeding was crippling my life and I did not know how to cope with it as it was interfering with my work flow at my job. My OB-GYN referred me to doctor Lipman and she told me he is the best in town for this procedure due to reports from her patient. She did not lie at all , I am truly now free from heavy bleeding, weakness and anemia which characterized the condition. I highly recommend Dr. Lipman at the Atlanta Fibroid Center! I had a very large fibroid (12 x 16 cm) that grew over 10 years. I was not interested in traditional methods & since I shockingly had virtually no symptoms, I spent almost 3 years researching alternative methods. I found Dr. Lipman through my own personal research and on March 3, 2020, I had a Uterine Fibroid Embolization performed. It was the best option & I would recommend this option to anyone with one or multiple fibroids. I even referred a close friend of mine and she also had a successful outcome. I had a wonderful experience at Atlanta Fibroid Center. Dr. John Lipman and his staff were great. I suffered with fibroids for many years. I had an myomectomy in 2003. Eventually the fibroids returned. I tried different herbs, supplements and teas to rid myself of these fibroids. They only made the symptoms a little more bearable but the fibroids still existed. My iron was low. I went from the taking Tylenol to Advil because the pain from cramps were intense. My cycles were extremely heavy and I was eating ice every day. After extensive research I discovered. Dr. John Lipman on YouTube. My UFE was a year ago, January 2023. My cycles are much lighter. I don’t crave ice like I once did. And iron levels have increase. I’m very thankful to the great staff at this office for their excellent service.
I’ve dealt with horrible pains and unbearable symptoms from Adenomyosis, Endometriosis and ovarian cysts for many many years. Dr.Lipman and his nursing staff were very professional and caring. Dr. Lipman explained the procedure and answered all of my concerns. I suffered for years and my fibroid grew to the point that I looked 5 months pregnant. My gyn wanted to do a complete hysterectomy! I have been suffering with fibroids for years and didn’t know until I had an ultrasound. I was always tired and had frequent urination so I decided to research to see if anything can be done to get rid of my fibroids. Hi, my experience was very interesting. Before getting this done I did alot of research and watched alot of videos even his interviews and I was convinced he is the best. So, I decided to go for it despite the pain is was to come with. Again, do your RESEARCH women. So, I had it done! All went well until I had infections and the fibroids were literally coming out. It’s not Dr Lipman’s fault at all when things like this happen. But I wish some women could be truthful about their experiences. Come to find out that I wasn’t the only one who had gone through this ordeal. All said and done, he was with me all the way on the phone when I needed him with questions and helped me be at ease. Am waiting for a few months so I can have an MRI done to see if there are any more positive results/how many left. That said, I have No bleeding, No bladar lickages which was another big issue. So far am very very happy. Sorry for this long review. Will update after the MRI. That’s why it’s a 4 star.
After Dr Lipman performed my UFE procedure my symptoms have improved immensely. My cycle are more regular now. Life has been much better post-op. I would definitely recommend to anyone struggling with Fibroids to come see Dr Lipman and his team! You’ ll get great results and care all in one.

My experience on this morning was a 10/10! The staff were very attentive, every step was communicated thoroughly, and Dr. Lipman was very informative and assuring. My OB/GYN recommended him and after researching, I knew that I had found a way to seek relief from a 9 year nightmare! I live in Minnesota and travel to Atlanta Fibroid Center in Feb of 2024 to have the procedure done. A couple of gynecologists recommended me to have hysterectomy and the best they can do for me was myomectomy. I pray and research online and found Dr Lipman. Prior to procedure, I had heart rate irregularities, having shortness of breath, had hemoglobin of 3.0 possibly less than that because the time that I checked for hemoglobin was my good day and symptoms were a lot worse a couple of months prior. I also had to get up once every hour to use the bathroom. My bleeding was out of control as you can imagine. I am now 3 months after the procedure and all of the above stated procedure are gone. I still have to wake up a couple of time at night to use the bathroom but not like before. I can now do Zumba which I could not do prior to having UFE. My bleeding is less than 1/10 of what I had. So I want to say thank you to God, Dr Lipman and all of his wonderful staffs. They accommodate for me to get the procedure done as fast as they could so that I do not have to rent a house for too long since I live out of town.
My second opinion suggested UFE – best decision ever! I no longer have to plan my life around my cycle! The process was explained thoroughly. I had a smooth procedure and even smoother recovery. The office called to check on me 3 days post surgery. Now after my follow up examination, my fibroids has decreased by 62% and more shrinkage to occur over the coming months. Clean facility with warm friendly staff. I was recommended to have UFE procedure after the trauma of a miscarriage & finding out I had 5 fibroids I never knew about. I was completely devastated they were never detected until the lost of my child my GYN referred me to Dr. Lipman and I was very hesitant at 1st but after asking and answering of all my questions I was able to schedule an appointment to have my procedure done. I was told at every turn, my only option to treat my fibroids was a hysterectomy. Dr. Lipman reviewed my MRI and informed me I was a good candidate for UFE. It worked and I’m so happy I sought his opinion. It’s early after the procedure but I plan to share my results with as many woman as possible to change the disturbing facts that research is showing in some areas up to 80% of woman are having unnecessary hysterectomies. We are told our uterus is not important after our childbearing years but it’s simply not true. It’s time woman had access to all treatment options to improve their quality of life and more research is needed for women’s vaginal health be the priority it deserves to be.

Dr. Lipman and his team are truly amazing! Such a blessing and God-send. Before learning of his services, I was guided to have a hysterectomy, due to the size and the irregular shape of my fibroid. I also suffered from anemia due to my fibroids. I sensed that I needed to get another medical opinion. Upon discovering Dr. Lipman, he was kind enough to review my MRI within a 48 hour window to see if I was a candidate for the procedure. I was and he got me scheduled for my procedure within a month of my inquiry–as my bleeding was ongoing and very significant. Since my procedure, 3 months ago, my largest fibroid has now shrunk over 50% and is due to decrease in size over the course of the year. The biggest lesson I’ve learned over the past couple of years concerning my health is that YOU are your biggest advocate. Get multiple opinions and trust your gut. I’m so thankful that I did! One of the best decisions I’ve ever made!

I had a very bad experience with fibroids until I met Dr. Lipman. I had been bleeding for thirteen months and in a lot of pain. Had been going to an obgyn the whole time and nothing they did was able to stop it. The last straw was when I became so anemic that I had to have a blood transfusion. I was then offered to have a hysterectomy but didn’t want one because I haven’t had any children yet. I met with Dr Lipman and before three weeks I was schedule for the procedure. Everyone went great and my healing process went well also. I now have a regular cycle and not in pain. Dr. Lipman was a life saver and I recommend all women with fibroids to contact him.

This is one of the best health decisions I have ever made. I struggled with fibroids for over a decade. My symptoms were only getting worst, and I had to decide which procedure to take to get rid of the fibroids. Mid-thirties, no children. . .UFE was the better choice. Four months after the procedure, the MRI results came back 100% dead fibroids!!! It’s been a year since I had the operation and I can say, my quality of life has improved. Though my cycle is still heavy, it’s not overpowering as it was before having the procedure.. I am now getting a full night’s sleep, my iron levels are better, less discomfort during that time of the month, and I can go on. For anyone who is still thinking about it, I highly recommend it. The incision is small, but I do have a small mark left from it. The pain during recovery is more than expected (I screamed out to Jesus). Be sure you have enough PTO, the office is tight on completing paperwork for time-off work (my job goes through Cigna and the docs were confusing). The staff is very nice from the first phone call to the last visit. I thank God for this invention and for using Dr. Lipman and his team for this blessing. Goodbye, fibroids!
Dr. Lipman is a very patient and understanding doctor. I suffered with fibroids for years and had no idea what was going on with my body. My former gynecologist finally diagnosed the problem several years later. All of the symptoms were present for more than seven years. She immediately recommended the infamous hysterectomy, which was not an option for me. I sought out a second opinion and Dr. Lipmans name appeared. The best thing I could have done was make that appointment. I scheduled my MRI and proceeded to his office. The staff is amazing. Dr. Weaver explained what was happening to me and Dr. Lipman was very thorough and comforting. We reviewed and discussed the results of the MRI.
He explained why the hysterectomy was not necessary. I consider Dr. Lipman and his staff the best in the business. I felt a comfort and understanding with everyone in his office that I have never felt any other place. They absolutely care about their patients. The staff calls to ensure you are okay. Dr. Lipman calls to check in as well. That is rare in today’s climate.
I wish more doctors would care about their craft instead of pushing to perform an unnecessary, evasive surgeries.

Procedure went well based on the what the team said, however I’m in serious pain and the team keeps saying hold out. Total bs considering NONE of the medication is breaking the pain. It’s understandable to have discomfort, but this far from. The doctor couldn’t care less based on the suggestions to hold it out. Can’t even have bed rest bc I feel like someone is clawing me from the insides. Grateful for the UFE, however, this is not normal, nor ideal pain to endure.
Update:
AA women, please be your own advocate and listen to your body. The meds prescribed just didn’t agree with my body so I allowed myself to heal naturally as I couldn’t keep anything down trying to force myself to take them. I’m not allergic to meds, just can’t handle certain narcotics. ‘Trusting the process’ shouldn’t be the advice given by the doctor when you know your body best. Everyone doesn’t heal the same. I will say that Corey, Chase, Courtney, Shellie and the rest of the team were very attentive to my concerns when I reached out regarding my pain. They could visibly see I was in pain and my vitals confirmed it as well. I had to visit the office twice to manage the pain.
Although they claim they haven’t had that happen in the 25 years of practice, all bodies are not created equal. Of all the years fibroids have been researched, there still isn’t a solid reason as to why AA women suffer from them most, so to think that all women should heal the same is insane. I work in the Women’s Health Dept for a pharmaceuticals company and work closely with the FDA so I’m privy to certain info the average person isn’t. At the end of the day, listen to your body and do what’s best for YOU! Remember, doctors and lawyers are practicing, but there’s a higher power that has the real solution and final say!
Again, I’m so grateful to qualify for the procedure and it being successful thus far. Other than the pelvic pain, my bowels and incision site were fine. I was up and walking the next day. I was able to walk half a mile after a few days. I wanted to go further, but didn’t want to push it. Instead of trusting the process, trust your gut feeling and speak up. Don’t allow others to downplay your concerns as it relates to your body.
My doctor wanted me to have a myomectomy before trying to conceive. I was also experiencing problems with my bladder and heavy bleeding during my cycle. After research, I realized that if I went through with the myomectomy, I would only be able to give birth via c section. That didn’t sit well with me. My husband found Atlanta Fibroid Center. Everything from the initial consultation, UFE procedure, and post op follow up was a breeze. Dr. Lipman and staff are very professional. Dr. Lipman was very knowledgeable and answered any questions . My fibroid has shrunk 60% and symptoms have improved. I highly recommend this practice.
Dr. Lipman is an angel! This surgery is 1000x better than a hysterectomy. Recovery was quick. My nurses were caring, kind, and reassuring. My symptoms are sooooo much better just 4 months post-op. I would be a spokesperson if I could!
I am so glad that I got the UFE. Dr. Lipman was very detail on showing me how my fibroids look before and after. I said I did not want to do the surgery and have another myomectomy and definitely did not want the hysterectomy. This procedure has killed off the fibroids and the really large ones are smaller and in time will disappear. My symptoms are a lot better and I am able to do more and not be bedridden. The entire experience was great. My gynecologist told me I needed a hysterectomy but I wasn’t convinced. The UFE process was super easy and a quick recovery. Dr Lipman and his staff were fantastic. I would do it again in a heartbeat.
What a wonderful experience. From the beginning to the end, all of the staff were friendly and informative. I thoroughly enjoyed Dr. Lipman explaining the procedure, the MRI, and the after effects of the procedure. My wife has been contemplating the procedure for some times, and after my experience, she too completed the procedure. Highly recommend.
After dealing with uterine fibroids for over 14 years, my periods became unbearable. Extremely heavy bleeding, lasting 6-8 days break-through bleeding and just a horrible experience. I had my son at 34 with no changes but in my 40s this condition got worse.
Dr. Lipman and his team jumped into action after a referral from my OB in late 2022. I had an MRI and then they approved me for the procedure in early 2023. Unfortunately my high deductible insurance wasn’t in my favor to cover the costs (or at least the bulk of it) so I actually waited to change my benefits and did the procedure in April 2024. A long time coming but worth the wait.
Six months later in my post-review, I feel great and the symptoms are gone. My MRI images revealed the fibroids are gone or have shrunk considerably. The size of my uterus is even smaller with the fibroids gone! My tummy is flatter finally! Periods are lighter and only last 4-5 days. It’s like a dream come true! I WISH I HAD DONE THIS SOONER. I waited so long because I was avoiding a myomectomy that would have been like a risky C-section with how large it was.
