Founded by Dr. John C. Lipman, MD, FSIR, Atlanta Interventional Institute offers procedures typically administered by an Interventional Radiologist. The mission of Atlanta Interventional is to provide personalized, compassionate care. Initial consultations with Dr. Lipman often take 45 minutes or more, which provide patients unparalleled access to the physician. This insures that the patient’s questions will be thoroughly answered, and the patient will be comfortable with the treatment plan that is chosen.
A patient treated by Dr. Lipman has an assigned nurse who monitors the patient’s condition before and after a procedure, and ensures the patient is treated safely and comfortably. Each patient stays in a private recovery room that ensures a relaxing and nurturing environment. Nurses care for Dr. Lipman’s patients only, which provides greater attention and more personal care for each patient.
Dr. Lipman only performs interventional radiology procedures. Most community interventional radiologists, who also perform diagnostic radiology work (i.e. interpreting x-rays) in addition to their interventional work. Because of the unique nature of his practice, Dr. Lipman focuses solely on a few interventional procedures, such as uterine fibroid embolization (UFE), allowing him to become a true expert in those procedures.
Atlanta Interventional Institute serves not only patients from the Atlanta area, but also patients from the rest of Georgia neighboring states as well as international patients from as far away as the Caribbean, Africa, and New Zealand.
